Ludlow Town 5 Ledbury Town 0.
IN midweek, Ludlow entertained Ledbury and emerged convincing winners from their FTL Futbol West Midland League Premier Division local derby.
On three minutes Dale Williams scored from close range following an excellent through-ball by Lewis Ayres.
After just five minutes Williams doubled his and the team’s tally when the referee blew for an offence in the box and he calmly slotted home the resulting penalty.
After such a dream start, Ludlow were held at bay and there was no further scoring until the hour mark.
A lengthy exchange of passes led to Richie Lloyd’s header rebounding off the crossbar for Ayres to nod home from close range.
On 84 minutes, Dan Price fired a speculative shot into the net after a cross by Gareth Rhodes and, two minutes later, the Ledbury goalkeeper failed to gather in a shot from the dangerous Rhodes. Craig Breakwell was quickly on hand to latch on to the loose ball and fire home from six yards out to complete the rout.
