Bentley 4 Tenbury United 1.

AFTER holding their own in the first half, Tenbury conceded two goals within five minutes of the restart and could have few complaints as the home side went on to gain a comfortable win in Division 2 of the Sport Italia West Midlands Regional League.

The visitors' problems started before the kick-off with team selection disrupted through injury, suspension and other commitments. Their starting line-up showed five changes from the previous weekend.

The revamped side performed quite well in the first half, playing some decent football to create a number of chances. Defensively they struggled at set-pieces.

Bentley went in front after 15 minutes when a shot from outside the area crept under the keeper's body. United deservedly got back on level terms around the half-hour mark.

Grant Harris, Aaron and Ryan Morris played some neat one-touch football in the build-up, ending with Ryan Morris taking the ball around the keeper before sliding it into the empty net. Minutes later, Aaron Morris was in the process of taking the ball around the home keeper, but it bobbled and the chance was gone.

After conceding two goals within minutes of the restart, United changed their formation. They created some half chances in attack, but always looked vulnerable in defence. Bentley added a fourth goal when the United defence went to sleep at another set-piece.

They brought on their third substitute in a final effort to pep up their second-half performance. Ian George forced the home keeper to make one good save, but Tenbury finished well beaten.
