SHAWBURY United’s travel troubles continued as they lost a fourth straight away game in all competitions, beaten 2-0 at Malvern Town in the West Midlands Premier Division.
United started well but wasted a golden sixth-minute chance to take the lead – Jack Hickman was fouled in the area but Liam Taylor’s penalty was saved by Malvern keeper Charlie Weaver.
Weaver denied Taylor from open play on the half-hour mark before Malvern went ahead against the run of play through James Febery’s long-range rocket.
Shawbury – who face another tough away game at Tividale this Saturday – sought a leveller but were caught on the break seven minutes from time as Joshua Hunt sealed the points for Malvern.
