TENBURY Wells Firsts ended any slim, lingering relegation worries with a thumping 179-run victory over Stourbridge thirds in Worcestershire League Division Four.
Their 50-over total of 266-8 was built largely on contributions from the top order, particularly Andrew Adams (72) and Tom Pugh (55).
Chris Giles (37no) and Tom Mason (23) also chipped in as did tail-enders Jonathan Pearson (21no) and Stephen Giles (16) after a stunning spell from Stourbridge bowler Sohail Munir (5-32) took out the Tenbury middle order.
In reply, Stourbridge were skittled for 87 inside 27 overs with only four batsmen making it into double figures.
Rob Farrar (2-22) and Aaron Morris (2-19) took care of Stourbridge’s top order before Mason tore through the tail on his way to fantastic figures of 5-8.
Nine-man Tenbury seconds, however, lost by 116 runs to Stourbridge fourths.
Ian Taylor took 3-25 as Stourbridge were impressively restricted to 197-6 but the nine men collapsed to 81 all out in reply, Nigel Payne top-scoring for Tenbury with 22.
