NINE points from a rain-prompted abandonment at home to Goodrich at the weekend leaves Cleobury Mortimer 27 points off the bottom and means their survival in Division One of the GB Liners Marches League can be secured with maximum points at Garnons on Saturday.
But the club also have to fulfil a Senior 20/20 semi-final against the same opponents on Saturday, with the winner facing league leaders Luctonians in the final.
Having amassed 191 all out at the weekend, Cleobury were saved by the rain after the visitors scored 106 for two in the first 17.5 overs of their reply.
Knighton on Teme’s relegation from Division Two was confirmed with an abandoned game at Canon Frome in which the hosts mustered 54 for two off 7.5 overs before the heavens opened, chasing a target of 118 for nine.
