JAMIE Farrar’s fine efforts with the ball weren’t enough to save Tenbury as they lost to Romsley & Hunnington by 88 runs.
Farrar took three wickets for 58 from his ten overs, including that of the game’s star man Steve Randall. The Romsley skipper enjoyed a great innings but was stumped while on 99 by David Hunt. Luke Miley and Steve Treadwell contributed 31 and 23 respectively as Romsley closed on 250 for 9.
Tenbury lost opener Andrew Adams for a duck, but Kier Sellers helped to steady the ship alongside Chris Giles (39). Sellers fell just one run short of a half century with Farrar’s 17 the only other score of note. Randall claimed four for 20 as Tenbury were all out for 162.
Tenbury 2nds were also defeated by Romsley 2nds, despite opener Nigel Payne’s fine 65. Liam Moore top scored for Romsley with 66 as they won by 32 runs.
