Ludlow came from behind to win 4-2 at West Bromwich in their West Midlands Premier Division clash played in the freezing cold and snow.

The home side started the better and although Ludlow defended an early penalty corner, West Brom opened the scoring on ten minutes with a smart finish.

The equaliser came just ten minutes later from Ludlow’s first penalty corner which Gavin Hughes sent high past the static keeper and into the roof of the net.

A second penalty corner produced a second goal for the visitors, Stuart Richards sweeping the ball home with a well rehearsed move.

The visitors put in an improved display after the break and they stretched their advantage ten minutes into the second half when a ball across the D was fired home by Andrew Richards.

Another penalty corner saw Gavin Hughes net a fourth for Ludlow before the home side deflected an effort into the net for their second.

With eight minutes to play, the worsening weather made the pitch unplayable but West Brom conceded as the match ended short of time.

Richards was voted Ludlow's man of the match.

[BLOB]Tenbury Ladies were edged out 2-1 at Bromsgrove 2nds, all the goals coming in the opening half.

The home side opened the scoring inside ten minutes before Tenbury raised their game with Cat Mumford, Abi Davis, Kate Mifflin and Emma Reddock impressive.

Bromsgrove duly doubled their lead only for the visitors to be awarded a penalty corner that was worked by Lindsey Aldridge-Bufton, Davis and Mumford to the penalty spot where Emily Moseley fired home.

Tenbury had a number of chances to level in the second half the pick of which saw Tina Bickley denied by a good save from the Bromsgrove keeper.

Tenbury’s 2nds lost 3-1 to a strong Bromsgrove side, Carys Cockayne with what proved to be a consolation strike.
