LUDLOW'S Will Sparrow and Craig Massey have been included in the Shropshire Cricket League’s end of season ‘dream teams’.

And first team skipper Sparrow has also been named Premier Division Player of the Year for the second year running.

Ludlow finished runners-up while Massey’s bowling helped the thirds take the Division Three title.

“All four of our sides played really well this season and I’m surprised there weren’t a few more selected in the end of season teams.” Sparrow said.

“On a personal level, it’s nice to pick up the award again and get recognised at the end of a season that saw us fall a little bit short in the end.

"It is certainly my best season for Ludlow – the pressure is on now for me to do it again next season.”

Massey finished the season with 37 wickets at an average of just 11.08.

His best figures were the 5-44 he took against Calverhall at the end of August.

Sparrow added: “Craig bowled really well and picked up some important wickets towards the end of the season to the help the thirds win their league.”
