HEREFORD manager Pete Beadle will be looking to bring in a new goalkeeper by the end of the week as he looks to beef up his squad.

The Bulls boss added to his attacking outlet this week by bringing in Adam Page for a second loan spell, as well as signing former Cardiff City player Jamie Bird.

But now he is looking to add to his goalkeeping options, especially as he will be looking to give 18-year-old Max Harris as much senior experience as he can elsewhere.

"I'm happy with the two keepers we've got but I'm looking to get Max a few games," said Beadle.

"He has played a couple of games at Lydney, but his season at Hartpury has now started so he needs games.

"He did very well at Pegasus last season, but no disrespect to them, we need him to play at a better level."

With Page and Bird coming in, Beadle has a lot of options available to him, especially in the forward line.

Page has come on board for a second time following a successful spell at the club two years ago, while Bird impressed Beadle during training.

"He was training with us for a month, maybe a bit more, and in the first couple of sessions, he did really well," said Beadle/

"When you've got people talking about him and mentioning how sharp he was and what a good player he is, then you listen.

"He's been chomping at the bit to play but we had to wait three weeks for his clearance to come through."

Last Saturday's bench at Kempston Rovers was probably the strongest it has ever been, with Page, Pablo Haysham, Lance Smith, Rob Purdie, Jamie Molyneux and Dan Preston all named as substitutes.

But Beadle says there are no plans to release anyone.

"It is a squad game and we've never had a huge amount of players," said Beadle.

"But we want the strongest squad available to us and the players have bought into that for the last two years.

"So there's no need to change it."
