CLEOBURY Mortimer were held to a winning draw at Luctonians II by tail-enders David Foreman and Jake Davies.
Foreman (26*) and Davies (23*) refused to budge at the end of a stop-start response to Cleobury’s 236.
Having been put in to bat, the visitors got off to a bad start when opener Sam Evans went without score but his colleagues soon covered the lost runs.
Ed Kemp (64) and James Manley (53) turned the tide and Michael Green (30) and Ben Griffiths (35) ensured there would be no soft target before Adam Lurie (5-41) finished off the stragglers.
Steve Powell (53) and Chris Ibbetson (32) got Luctonians off to a strong start before Evans (5-42) atoned for his early dismissal with the ball.
Tom Williams (23) and Craig Lawrence (23) halted any further damage but, with no prospect of victory, Foreman and Davies could only dig in and hope for the best late on.
