CLEOBURY Mortimer skipper Will Bache admits his side will go into their title decider at neighbours Ludlow on Saturday as overwhelming underdogs.
But he adds that that will suit his players who will be encouraged to go out and enjoy the end of season head-to-head.
Both teams have already secured promotion from Midlands 3 West (North) and Ludlow are five points clear at the top, meaning their visitors will have to wrap up a bonus point victory and stop their rivals from scoring four or more tries if they are to land the title.
Bache said: “The pressure is off as far as we’re concerned. Of course it would be good to beat them, it’s a local derby, but we will definitely be the underdogs. Ludlow are likely to bring out their big guns and we have a few missing as Sam Bills has a foot injury and one of our youngsters, Alfie Smith, suffered a nasty facial injury against Handsworth.”
In the one game played at the weekend, Church Stretton eased to a 61-5 victory over Essington in Midlands 4 West (North).
