DIDCOT Town are to meet tomorrow night to discuss the disturbances that let to the game against Hereford FC to be abandoned.

Vice-chairman Paul Chalk has confirmed that the club will review footage and 'will make sure that every protocol was followed correctly to make sure everyone was safe.'

"As far as I am aware no one was hurt, which is a blessing," he said.

"It was a regrettable incident and the club does not want to comment in detail until it has had an investigation."

Chalk added that the club would have to submit a report on the incident to the league tomorrow.

He said: "The league will decide what will happen regarding the fixture - Didcot Town FC would be quite happy to play the fixture again - Hereford FC are a fantastic club."

Thames Valley Police have confirmed that a number of people ran on to the pitch near the end of the game and two 19-year-old men from Hereford were subsequently arrested - one for a public order offence and one for suspicion of common assault.

One has been bailed until April 4 and the other until April 6.

Hereford were leading 2-1 at the time the game was brought to a halt thanks to Mike Symons' late goal.

"I feel for the players because they've put everything into the 87 minutes we have played today and been fantastic," said Hereford manager Pete Beadle.
