PAUL Harrison’s life at Cleobury Mortimer began with a 40 as the recent recruit snared his first club title.
Harrison, a local barber who is in his first year with Cleobury since moving up from Surrey, scored 40 points to see off the challenge of Roger Evans by a single score.
And director of golf David Pain reckons this maiden triumph could be “the first of many” for one of the club’s newest members.
Pain said: "Paul has always had a first-class short game and has been working with me over the season on the rest of his game.
“It is great to see him getting his first victory as a member of the club and I am sure it will be the first of many.”
