FULL-back Will Sparrow helped guide Ludlow to a third bonus-point win in as many outings and then insisted the best was yet to come.
The stark warning to the club’s Midlands Three West (North) rivals arrived on the back of an emphatic 61-10 beating of Edwardians at the Linney.
Despite making a bright start, the visitors were powerless to prevent prop Sam Wilkes from turning the tide before a surge of home tries.
Mark Williams, Jack Lines, Sparrow, Jim Alderson and Sam Thomas were among the scorers as the early pacesetters maintained their perfect start going into Saturday’s crunch clash at second-placed Handsworth.
The result also banished the memory of a disappointing Senior Vase exit to Ledbury the week before and Sparrow argued that the manner of the display should prompt confidence in the ranks.
Sparrow said: “It was a good win and a better performance than the one we had put together the previous week.
“From one to 15, the standard was much higher and while we have a lot of areas to improve on, the forwards gelled really well and gave us a really good platform.
“That was the biggest difference and why we ended up winning far more convincingly. It was pleasing because we were up against a strong Edwardians side that rarely lets an opponent score that many points.
“It was a great way to prepare for what will be a very big game on Saturday.”
