BISHOP'S Castle Town have launched an online petition in a bid to play competitive football this season.
The club's quest to join the Montgomeryshire League was blocked at the 11th hour but the Shropshire FA has since performed a U-turn and backed their cause.
This led to joint-decision makers the Football Association giving their blessing but the final piece of the jigsaw remains elusive with the Football Association of Wales now unwilling to sanction the move.
Both national associations must give the green light because the switch involves moving across the border. Should it not be sanctioned, Bishop's Castle would face a year out of league action.
