CROFT Ambrey Running Club is launching a new group for beginners – either those trying to get fit enough to run 5k or those who have already started running but are looking to improve their fitness and speed before taking the next step and joining the club.
The new beginners group will meet at 7pm every Tuesday from May 3 at Luctonians Rugby Club in Kingsland. Each session will cost £3 although the first two sessions on May 3 and 10 will be free taster events. The minimum age for those looking to take part is 12-years-old but under-16s must be accompanied by a participating parent.
Sessions will be run by Mark Paviour, one of Croft Ambrey Running Club coaches, and more information can be obtained by contacting him on email at markpaviour@gmail.com.
More experienced runners may like to join in one of the club’s regular training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm. That group meets at Croft Castle car park and then train on Bircher Common.
