CHURCH Stretton boss Paul Smith hailed his side's superb 2-0 win at table-toppers Allscott as the best of his managerial career.

A brilliant 30-yard free-kick from Aaron Gough and a Kieron Adams strike gave Stretton maximum points in the Mercian League Premier Division clash.

Smith admitted he didn't expect his side to record a win.

"It was unbelievable," he said.

"I'm over the moon. All of my players were brilliant and we were very comfortable to be honest.

"Our goalkeeper didn't have much to do, although he pulled off a good save to keep it at 1-0.

"Beforehand I would have said a draw would have been good. I wasn't expecting anything as Allscott have been so good all season.

"This is my second season as manager and this result is right up there. It's the best of my management career."
