LUDLOW came out on top in a topsy-turvy Warwick Printing West Midlands League clash with Bloxwich.

They trailed 1-0, led 3-1 and were then pegged back to 3-3 before finding a dramatic winner for a 4-3 success.

On target for Ludlow were James Pratt (2), Brenden Pratt and Matt Blount, though the victory was marred by a disorderly melee at the end of the game.

It was a different story for Ludlow’s struggling 2nd XI, who showed a handful of changes from the previous game and were hammered 8-0 at Bromsgrove.

Their cause was further handicapped by injuries to skipper Jack Phasey and Ollie Boulton but an excellent performance from Jack Wood provided some satisfaction from the journey.

Ludlow and Wenlock Ladies were also beaten 5-0 at Wem/Market Drayton. But they never gave up and credit went to Sophie Cavenagh and Becky Kay for some sterling dribbling work.

*TENBURY Ladies returned to action with a 3-1 home victory against Harborne 3rds.

They took the lead midway through the first half through Lindsey Aldridge-Bufton after a great attacking run.

Harborne equalised before half-time but Tenbury asserted themselves in the second half with the welcome return of Cat Mumford and Naomi Burgoyne. The latter scored Tenbury's second goal with a stunning, unstoppable reverse stick shot after some dream hockey with Emily Moseley. Abi Davis then converted a penalty stroke to kill off the game.
