BOXER Craig Morris will defend a winning start to his professional career when he contests his third pro bout at Walsall.

Morris, who has won both his opening two fights at Walsall Town Hall, will this time feature on the Home Turf bill in the plush surrounds of the Stadium Suite at the Bank’s Stadium in Walsall (home of Walsall FC) on Friday, September 3.

The Flowfit-sponsored Morris’s Ludlow boxer's fight against Cambridgeshire-based Victor Edagha will be the warm-up event before Midland Area light-welterweight champion Luke Paddock, who is based in Walsall, defends his title against Stoke’s Andy Keates.

Morris is dropping down to welterweight from light-middleweight for the four-round contest and he hopes to build on his earlier successes against the Brighton-based former Midlands champion Kevin McCauley on his professional debut, and more recently his technical knockout stoppage of the Wolverhampton-based Lativan Viktor Drizlionoks.

Morris enjoyed some strong local support for his first two fights and he hopes the crowd will again get behind him next month.
