MARK Yarranton conjured up a demolition job on Hallow as Tenbury swept to back-to-back victories in Division Five of the Worcestershire County League.

Tenbury welcomed back footballers Aaron Morris and Jack Farrar, and included new recruit Robbie Farrar, but it was Yarranton who stole the show in a six-wicket win.

The veteran seamer produced career-best figures of eight for 27 off 11 overs as Hallow were dismissed for 98 on a green wicket.

He was on a hat-trick at one stage and only Hallow opener Dave Pugh, with a dogged 41, managed to survive for any length of time.

Tenbury were then supervised home by Andy Adams (36), David Hunt (who retired hurt with a pulled muscle on 26) and Tom Rawlings (17).

In Division Three Cleobury Mortimer edged to a two-wicket triumph over Claverley after dismissing their visitors for 124.

James Manley (9-4-14-4) and skipper David Shorter (three for 42) did most of the damage with the ball and Cleobury then owed much to Ben Griffiths making 39. Nick Griffiths (18) and wicketkeeper Michael Green (16) both gave him able support and victory came at 125 for eight in the 30th over.

Like their first team, Tenbury 2nd made short work of Hallow 2nd, bowling them out for 74 and knocking off the runs for the loss of two wickets.

Joe Reynolds (five for 30) and Ade Edwards (three for 28) combined well with the ball and opener Ian Taylor then saw Tenbury home on 35 not out.

Cleobury Mortimer 2nd were quickly in trouble after being put in by Five Ways Old Edwardians 2nd, and never recovered to be routed for just 56. Only three batsmen reached double figures and one of them, Luke Baldwin, then took three wickets but the home side eased in by six wickets inside 12 overs.
