A 4-2 VICTORY over Pershore rounded off a successful season for Tenbury Ladies, who have finished in third place in the Worcestershire League Division One.

Jo Rusling’s team ended up just three points behind champions Worcester Ladies and just a point off runners-up Harborne 3rd XI. They ended the season with three straight wins.

Tenbury enjoyed the majority of the possession against mid-table Pershore, playing high and putting the opposition defence under constant pressure with some fluid attacking.

Naomi Burgoyne, Abi Davis, Vicky Jones and Emma Reddock were all on target for Tenbury and had it not been for some heroics from the Pershore keeper, who pulled off a series of agile saves, they may have ended up hitting double figures.

As it was Pershore snatched two goals on the break, but they never really looked like pulling the deficit back.

The following day Tenbury were due to play Harborne 4ths in a rearranged fixture, but their bottom-of-the-table opponents called off and they were awarded a 3-0 walkover.
