LUDLOW had a mixed weekend after crashing out of the Now: Pensions Men's Vase just 24 hours after winning a league game.

The team got the weekend off to a good start, recording a 3-1 league win over Streetly in league action on Saturday, but suffered cup heartache on Sunday, losing their quarter final vase game against Crawley 9-4. On Saturday, goals from captain Stu Richards, James Pratt and Andy Richards helped Ludlow gain revenge for an earlier season defeat to Streetly. But despite the three scorers from Saturday finding the net again 24 hours later, Ludlow still crashed out against Crawley. Brenden Pratt added to the trio of scorers from the day before, but Ludlow did not have enough to get past a high-quality home side.

Elsewhere, Ludlow 2nd lost 3-0 to Wednesfield, while Ludlow 3rd went down 4-2 at Stafford.
