AROUND 300 boxing fans from around the country are expected to turn out in force once again to support the annual charity boxing dinner organised by the Paddy Brennan Boxing Academy.

A total of 14 sanctioned bouts will take place at Tenbury Sports Hall on Friday, March 20 with international boxers coming from all over England to match up against open class fighters from the Republic of Ireland.

Tenbury's Elizabeth Williams is set to represent England, while the Irish team will be bringing Peter Odonal, president of the Irish Boxing Association.

A return match is scheduled for November 7 in Strabane County Donegal.

The annual dinner will bring together Tenbury's community as well as the country's boxing fans and even some celebrities to support the sport and the work of Paddy Brennan's Boxing Academy & Rehabilitation Centre, based at Bleathwood.

The boxing shows were first launched in 2010 and have played a big role in helping to put Tenbury on the boxing map.

Since the launch, the Paddy Brennan Boxing Academy has gone from strength to strength, with local boxers picking up championship titles.

In addition to the exciting programme of boxing, the evening includes a drinks reception, three-course dinner, live entertainment and a top-class singer.

A silent auction and live auction with selected "money-can’t-buy" items are also included, as well as a raffle and presentation.

Tickets are £50 per head and are available by contacting Paddy Brennan on 07904 396465.
