A CONTOVERSIAL goal deep into stoppage time denied Woofferton all three points against Hinton in HerefordTimes Herefordshire League Division One.

The Blues felt that goalkeeper James Robertson was fouled by a Hinton player after challenging for the ball.

But the goal was given to deny Woofferton all three points going into this Saturday's derby against Brimfield.

"It was disappointing to let the lead slip again and many watching believed the final goal shouldn't have counted," said Woofferton player-secretary Dave 'Magnum' Thomas.

Dan Gower scored twice for Woofferton with the other goal coming from Dan Hicks.

Brimfield go into the game on the back of a 6-2 hammering against Wellington Colts.

Liam Moffat and Luke Pugh scored Brimfield's goals.

Will Lindesay and Luke Price grabbed Harold's goals that saw them record the same scoreline against Orleton for the second week running.

And Bishops Castle are out of the Shropshire County Challenge Cup following a 3-1 defeat at Whitchurch Alport in the third round.
