AFC Ludlow boss Dave Cooper says it is hard to keep everyone happy after his side jumped to second in West Midlands League Division One.

Marian Jusko grabbed a hat-trick in a 4-0 win against St Martins last Saturday to leave Cooper's boys just four points behind leaders Bromyard Town.

"The squad is getting bigger and players are coming back from injury," said Cooper.

"It is getting harder to choose who to play each week. It is the worst part of the job saying to players that they've done nothing wrong, but the team is doing so well.

"It is a dilemma and a massive headache, but it is a good one to have.

"All they have to do is train hard. But it is hard to change a winning side."

Jusko opened the scoring shortly before half-time last Saturday when Dale Hodge squared the ball to him.

Keanu Cooper then set up Jusko to make it 2-0 after the break and the Slovakian sealed his hat-trick when he smashed home the rebound after St Martins' goalkeeper saved his first effort.

Liam Taylor added gloss to the scoreline when he headed the ball home.

"It was a good win, but the scoreline probably flattered us a bit," said Cooper.

"They had chances in the first half and hit a post, but we also had a couple of chances at the other end.

"Marian is a goalscorer and works his socks off for the team. I thought our defence was also superb."

Cooper will be hoping his team grab another three points this Saturday when they host Team Dudley.

"We beat them 2-1 earlier in the season, so we are expecting another tough game," said Cooper.

"We have got some big games coming up and won't underestimate any team."

Meanwhile, AFC Ludlow beat Leominster Town 14-1 in a friendly last Thursday.
