LUDLOW dominated their clash at Bromsgrove but ended up losing 2-1.

Due to illness, the Shropshire side was only able to field ten players but the effort of the remaining players made up for the missing man.

Bromsgrove took an early lead from a penalty corner, but this inspired Ludlow to dig deeper and they soon opened their account when Andrew Richards levelled things up from another penalty corner.

After this, Ludlow were on top and launched wave after wave of attacks on the Bromsgrove goal, but they were thwarted by good goalkeeping.

But in the final ten minutes, against the run of play, another penalty corner handed Bromsgrove the victory.

This Saturday, Ludlow entertain Aldridge & Walsall before facing Wotton Wanderers from Northampton in the England Hockey Vase on Sunday.

In 2nd XI Division Two West, a second half collapse saw Ludlow 2nd fall to an 8-1 defeat, despite only trailing 2-1 at the break.

Tom Aston grabbed the home side's goal.

The same scoreline was encountered by Ludlow 3rd who slipped to defeat by Cannock, with George Wood on target for Ludlow.

Meanwhile, Tenbury Ladies went down 3-1 at Stourport 3rd Ladies in the Worcestershire League Division One.
