ORLETON and District Juniors under-9's are kitted out for another season in the South Shropshire Junior Football League, thanks to the Ludlow Advertiser.
The club was founded in 1976 and currently has seven youth teams from under-7's age group to under-15. Both the under-10's and under-15's play in the Herefordshire Junior Football League, while the other age groups play the South Shropshire League.
Last year the current under-9 team were finalists in the SSJFL Cup, as under-8's, and they won the fair play award for the league.
Editor of the Ludlow Advertiser, Clive Joyce said: "We're delighted to sponsor Orleton under 9s and to help support this fantastic family club at the heart of the community.
"We wish them well for the 2014/15 season."
Club chairman Mark Richards added: “Our ethos focuses on giving children the chance to improve their skills, while also learning to respect coaches and team-mates.”
Each year, at the end of the season, the club holds a two-day tournament at Orleton Recreational Ground featuring young teams from the area.
