CLEE Hill captain Matt Bowen says he will probably some players from the second team for their derby friendly against Tenbury this Saturday.

Bowen's team will be hoping to avenge last weekend's 36-15 defeat against Wednesbury after leading 10-0 at half-time.

"It's a friendly, so it probably be players from the second game playing," said Bowen.

"We will try and get in another friendly game as well.

"We should have beaten Wednesbury, but they were a good team and were well organised."

Craig Breakwell opened the scoring for Clee Hill, before Owen Huffer added a second.

But Wednesbury stormed back after the break, meaning that Robbie Fletcher's try was a mere consolation.

Ludlow let a 17-0 lead slip as they lost 32-25 to Veseyans in Midlands Two West (North).

Tries from Rhys Evans and Mark Williams, with Will Norton adding two conversions and a penalty, saw Norman Stalker's side take a commanding lead.

But the home side stormed back in the second half to lead 19-17.

Ludlow went back in front through another Williams try and Norton penalty, but it was Vesyeians who grew stronger to win the game.

"We were pleased to get a bonus point, but were unlucky not to get more," said Ludlow spokesman Phil Norton.

"But we didn't control the game when we were ahead."

Bishops Castle did not play last weekend, but are away to Warley in the first round of the Midlands Junior Vase.

"Keith Evans and Andrew Dale will be back from injury, which will be a big boost," said captain Jack Holloway.

"However, we do need more players and are inviting anyone to train with us from 7pm to 9pm every Tuesday."
