TENBURY United joint-manager Aaron Morris hopes that last Saturday's Worcester Minor Cup win against Inkberrow Reserves can kick-start their season.

United lost their opening three games of this campaign as they adjusted to life in the league following promotion from Division One.

But they have now won two games on the bounce, including the win against Inkberrow Reserves.

Morris hopes they can now carry on the momentum, starting at Hinton this Saturday.

"We don't know too much about them, but we beat their reserves last season," said Morris.

"Therefore, we will go into the confident with a positive attitude.

"It is a new season for us and we are going into the games almost blind.

"We are still getting used to the teams, but we will know more about them next season.

"We have had some tough fixtures, so the aim is to consolidate in the league and hopefully have a decent cup run."

Tenbury had to come from behind to beat Inkberrow Reserves after the away side opened the scoring in the 15th minute.

But Morris equalised 10 minutes later when he drilled the ball home after Mike Foster laid the ball back to him following a corner.

United took the lead on the hour mark through a 25-yard piledriver from Ian Patterson and he wrapped up the win by heading in a corner 10 minutes later.

Morris said that 15 players were available last Saturday and he is pleased with the turn-out.

"We have got a couple of new faces, but it is pretty much the same team as last season," said Morris.

"Cameron Edmunds has come from Evesham and John Bradley has also joined.

"Cameron is only 16 and this is his first year playing men's football.

"He has settled in well and is doing good things.

"Getting used to men's football is quite a step-up, but he has doing well.

"There were no injuries last Saturday, which is good.

"Only Sam Williams was unable to play because he had a sprained ankle.

"He did the warm-up, but was not 100% so we didn't want to risk him."

Morris added that he is enjoying sharing managerial duties with Nick Stocker.

"It is nice to have another view," said Morris.

"His view may pay off one week and my view the next week.

"Nick came off the bench with about 25 minutes to go last Saturday.

"But it is good if one of us is on the side managing the team, because it is easier to do things like making substitutions."
