TENBURY Rugby Club captain Will Gough says that the team is not panicking despite suffering a hammering at local rivals Bromyard last weekend.

Gough's boys were stuffed 50-9 at Palmers Meadow and face a tough away trip at Cannock this Saturday.

But Gough is confident that the team can get turn around their fortunes once they have their strongest side available.

"It was disappointing to lose by the margin that we did, but we are not panicking," said Gough.

"We are taking every game as it comes and we still have players to come back.

"We are never the quickest of starters, but we have got to take the positives from the last couple of weeks.

"Fitness is probably a big thing at the moment and we did make some mistakes.

"Bromyard thoroughly deserved the win and were by far better team.

"But when we get the players back and they start to gel, then I am sure we'll get a win under our belt."

Bromyard opened the scoring through a Gareth Griffiths try that was converted by Chris Rowberry.

Full-back Tom Morris then added a second try, before Gough kicked over a penalty to get Tenbury on the score-sheet.

Gough added a another penalty after Ross Williams powered over for a try for Bromyard before Griffiths claimed his second try.

After the break, Gough converted another penalty, but Tenbury were always second best and Bromyard raced away with the win, with further tries coming from John Parker (two), Morris and Sam Sayce.
