GOLF ace Ollie Farr will be swinging into action today at the richest event on the European tour.
Farr, who grew up in Newnam Bridge, will be competing in the Kazakhstan Open at Zhailjau Golf Resort in Almaty.
A total of €450,000 will be up for grabs, with €64,000 going to the winner.
Farr goes into the event on the back of a fourth-place finish at the Open Blue Green Cotes d’Armor Bretagne in France earlier this month.
The Karkhov Superior Cup, which Farr was due to compete in last weekend, was cancelled due to on-going trouble in Ukraine.
