Samurai poised for league bow

CHURCH Stretton Samurai rugby team are preparing for their inaugural league match.

Their maiden competitive match will be at Stourport on September 13.

The team's pre-season preparations are well underway, says press officer Jack Titley.

Stretton's first pre-season friendly is at Newtown this Saturday and they travel to Bishops Castle to next weekend.

The team train at Church Stretton school on Thursdays at 7pm, with colts training on Tuesdays at 7pm
