Teams line up for Flowfit Ludlow and District Bowls League Doubles

TWENTY-nine teams will be taking part this weekend in the Flowfit Ludlow and District Bowls League Doubles competition.

Three teams – Mike Weston and Graham Prince, Liam and Steve Dovey and Tommy McCourt and Pat Collier – have been handed byes into the second round.

League secretary Steve Burmingham says the competition takes place this Saturday at Ludlow Castle Bowling Club this Sunday, starting 10am, with the second round expected to get underway at 1.30pm.

The draw, first round, 10am: Russell Davies and Len Lewis v Gerry Haynes and Gary Biggs; Wayne Rogers and Kiah Roberts v Kevin and Chris Dovey; Dave Wilding and Simon Lane v Sarah Desborough and Graham Lane; Colin Blent and Bert Morris v Carl Bowen and Richard Lane.

First round, 11.15am: Mark and Lewis Rogers v Tom Harrington and Nick Lewis; Matt Bowen and Jordan Bull v Mal Bowen and Josh Bull; Brian Lewis and Danny Tantrum v Jesse James and Simon Parsonage; John Coxill and Pete Griffiths v Daphne Tantrum and Margaret Harris.

First round, 12.30pm: Jack Bufton and Tony Partridge v Adam Dovey and TBA; Jimmy Green and TBA v Tom Moseley and Harry Parsonage; Jolyon and Josh Partridge v Eileen Huffer and Lillian Payne; Duncan Pressley and Roy Crowther v Carl Davies and Eric Williams; Richard Harrington and Nicky Beard v Colin and Matt Lane.
