TARA Rodenhurst has carried off the captain’s prize in the annual stableford competition at Ludlow Golf Club.
She carded 33 points and received the prize from captain Jackie Corbett.
Men played in the event for the first time – with Harry Burgoyne shooting an outstanding 42 points to win the overall competition.
Ros Plested, with 32 points, took home the vice-captain’s prize, while Anne Officer also played well to finish in second place.
Captain Jackie Corbett greeted the golfers with refreshments in a marquee after the front nine holes played in very warm and sunny conditions.
And, at the end of the popular competition, players and members celebrated the day with a delicious meal followed by the much-enjoyed strawberries and cream.
Result: Captain’s prize: Tara Rodenhurst 33 points; Vice-captain’s prize: Ros Plested 32 points; Competition winner: Harry Burgoyne 42 points.
