LUDLOW Cycling Club’s Simon Ward stormed to victory in the latest round of the Ludlow TT League.
Ward triumphed in a time of 42:26 seconds, averaging 24:18mph, in the 12th round of the Roadmans Series where only road bikes were allowed.
Steve Minton had to settle for second spot, impressive 1 minute and 20 seconds adrift of the impressive Ward.
James Griffith finished in third place, a further 11 seconds behind.
Penny Priest was the first woman home – she was sixth overall and defeated some strong long cyclists in the process.
The event had been moved to the Ludlow Hilly course due to traffic lights on the Ludlow Tri Course and consisted to three gruelling laps totalling 17.1 miles.
Previously, Griffith raced to victory in round 11 of the competition.
He achieved a three-second success over Minton over the hilly 11.4-mile course.
Griffith averaged an impressive 25.21 mph over the demanding course.
Ward was a further 32 seconds behind and, of course, the roles were reversed in the 12th round.
