TENBURY United are looking to add to their coaching set-up next season.

Aaron Morris and Nick Stocker have combined playing with managing the Palmers Meadow side this season, but feel that it is time to bring in another body to the touchline.

Tenbury missed out on the treble last Saturday after going down 2-1 against Orleton Colts in the Leintwardine Cup final.

"It's been quite difficult for us to manage when we've both had to play this season," said Morris.

"When you get engrossed in what you're doing on the pitch, it's quite easy to forget the management side of things, especially when the games have been close fought.

"We are looking for someone to take purely a sideline role to allow us to have a voice who is looking at the game as a whole, rather than being in the middle of it."

Tenbury topped Herefordshire League Division One and also bagged the Jock Handley Cup.

But, their hopes of a winning a prestigious treble were always going to be difficult having had to play three games in a week.

Orelton beat Tenbury 5-2 last Thursday in the league and again came out on top last Saturday to win the Leintwardine Cup.

"We can't grumble really - we've had a successful season," said Morris.

"We set out at the start thinking that we should be there or thereabouts at the end, and with the squad we had, we would've been disappointed not to be."

Shane Jennings opened the scoring for Orleton in the four minute when he pounced on a poor cleareance from goalkeeper Jason Griffiths.

But, Tenbury battled back strongly and deservedly equalised before the half-time break through Ian Patterson.

Orleton regained the lead when a Kyle Whitticase cross floated over Griffiths and into the back of the net.

Tenbury were unable to force a second equaliser and it was Orleton who held on and lift the cup.
