LUDLOW'S St Laurence's Primary School year six netballers can look back on a hugely successful season after a double tournament success.

At the Moor Park Tournament, the St Laurence team came out on top.

At the end of their five matches, they were on equal on points with Moor Park which meant a five-minute ‘golden goal’ play-off between the two teams.

Both teams had shots and missed, and then, after a spectacular show of team work, St Laurence’s scored the winning goal.

Within 48 hours, the team had clinched their second success by winning the Ludlow League (Spring Term).

They secured the title at Ludlow Leisure Centre with a 24-4 win over Bitterley which meant that they had lost just one of their 10 matches.

The team had also come third in the county High-Five tournament earlier in the term.

The year six netball team was Nisa Aygun ( captain), Ellie Mackenzie, Pierce Bowsher, Izabela Marczuk, Isabelle Forth, Jasmine Preece, Grace Edwards, Chelsea Eichelmann, Chloe Hateley and Emily Martin.
