THE awesome foursome of Gary Mann, Aaron Booton, Nigel Williams and Martin Bower topped Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club’s Easter Open.
They won the title ahead of a mixed team from Maxstoke Park.
The green keepers worked wonders to get the course in fantastic condition with the greens in top-notch condition, said club spokesman Dave Pain.
A total of 28 teams-of-four played in the hugely successful event.
Results: 1 Gary Mann, Aaron Booton, Martin Bower and Nigel Williams; 2 Glenda Loram, Peter Loram, Carol Blackburn and Andrew Blackburn.
Meanwhile, Nick Webb has won Cleobury Mortimer’s April stableford.
Webb shot 37 points to win by two clear points on a glorious day.
Dean Rogers and Andrew Johnson both shot 35 points, however, Johnson took second place after a superior countback.
The day belonged to Webb, a steady player off his handicap and often seen on the practise area, said Dave Pain.
“It just goes to show that practicing and playing leads to better scores,” added Pain.
