GOALS from Mark Hudson and Sam Naden fired Norbury to a 2-1 home win over The Gates in Division One of the Shrewsbury and District Sunday League.
Norbury fought back after The Gates had taken the lead from a corner and levelled when a bursting run from man-of-the-match Mike Brayne saw him feed Mark Hudson who tucked the ball home.
Norbury created the better chances in the second half and deservedly went ahead.
John Hudson won a corner on the right, his brother Mark delivered the set-piece and Naden volleyed in.
Despite the visitors hitting the bar, Norbury held firm with the bar the back four of Naden, Reece Thomas, Gwyn Francis and Andrew Edwards helping see the result out.
Norbury will be facing Charles Darwin this Sunday at Monkmoor, kick-off 10.30am
