FORMER Tenbury Boxing Club head coach Martin ‘Paddy’ Brennan has been mixing with the stars at a sell-out international show in Hereford.

Paddy, who now runs the Paddy Brenan Boxing Academy in Bleathwood, rubbed shoulders on Saturday night with Mark Abberley, the chief executive of Boxing England.

“To have a full amateur boxing international show in Hereford was fantastic,” said Paddy. “You would have thought you were in Las Vegas – not Hereford Sixth Form College.”

England won the Hereford Times Cup after a 7-3 success over Wales at Hereford Sixth Form College.
