THERE were plenty of thrills and spills as Ludlow Castle Motor Club held their annual dinner and awards evening at the Salwey Arms on Saturday night.

The father and son combination of John and Dan Petrie carried off the 2013 On Road Championship title in front of a 60-strong crowd.

James Hamer was voted the best newcomer, while Connor Deignan was the best junior competitor and Kim Handley, the best female competitor.

Phil Clarke was the most successful co-driver of 2013, while Richard Preece was member who contributing most to the running of the club in 2013.

There was not a speaker for the evening, but guests were entertained after the awards’ presentations by a magician and a disco.

Guest Richard Fish, from Ludford Parts, who sponsored the successful 2013 Peak Revs Road Rally organised by LCMC, and presented the awards. Guests were treated with wine courtesy of Richard Fish.

Award winners were:

Emma Clarke was 1st Novice Co-Driver and James Bradley 1st Novice Driver (award collected by Dan Petrie) in the 2013 On Road Championship.

James Hamer was voted the Best Newcomer in 2013.

Connor Deignan was the Best Junior Competitor in 2013.

Kim Handley was the Best Female Competitor in 2013.

Alex Allingham received the Ralph Jones Challenge Cup as the Most Successful Driver of 2013

Phil Clarke was the Most Successful Co-Driver of 2013.

Richard Preece was voted as the LCMC member Contributing Most to the Running of the club.
