JIM Daborn has shot to glory in Bowbrook Archers’ annual rove event.
The Archers of Teme ace was in outstanding form and carried off the men’s top prize against some fierce competition in the grounds of PGL Boreatton Park.
Daborn was among a mix of longbow and other traditional archers on a hugely enjoyable day blessed with dry and sunny conditions.
The day included a double round of traditional roving marks and, with a mix of long and short shots, distances were adjusted for ladies and juniors, according to their bow strengths.
The afternoon was rounded off by a flight shot challenge in which archers attempted to cast their arrows as far as possible, with the longbows reaching as far as 230 yards.
