DARTS player Jim Williams is hoping a burst appendix won’t keep him out of the inaugural British Darts Organisation Daily Mirror World Trophy.
The former Wigmore School pupil has been drawn to face Scott Waites in a first-round match today (Thursday) at Blackpool Tower.
“I got home from Hereford Hospital on on Sunday night and the first thing I did was throw three darts at my board,” said Jim.
“I had been in hospital since Wednesday because my appendix ruptured and filled me poison so I have not been feeling great.”
The sportsman is supported by Mark Blandford, a director of YouWin, and Don Jaques, from Jaques International.
