BISHOPS Castle Town boss Andrew Green is starting life without ace marksman Gaz Bromley.

The striker has left the Mercian League Division One table-toppers to join his old club, Montgomery.

Town host Dawley this Saturday and Green is hoping loan player Adam Davies will lead their attack.

"Gaz Bromley has gone back to Montgomery," conceded Green.

"I have signed the transfer request form and we are just awaiting international clearance to go through.

"Gaz has been a brilliant player for us and we tried our best to keep him but the deal was too good for him to turn down.

"We have loaned Adam Davies from Haughmond and he scored six goals for us on his debut. We are hoping to keep him."

Town will be losing three points because, Green said, Hopesgate have withdrawn from the league

Town's match last weekend was postponed because Green and several players were at a funeral service.

Clee Hill host Meole Brace, while Church Stretton Town host Morda United in the Premier Division.

Newcomer Kai Roberts scored four goals in Ludlow Town Colts' 7-0 win at Spalaig Britannia in Division Two.

Josh Partridge, Aaron Dovey and Aaron Hodge also netted.

Danny Gower scored five goals as Woofferton thrashed Kingstone Rovers 7-1 to regain second spot in Herefordshire League.

Dave Nash and Bryn Martin also hit the target for the Blues, who demolished the strugglers.

Woofferton player-secretary Dave 'Magnum' Thomas said: "'We've had a great run recently with five wins from six games.

"The previous week's defeat to Orleton was disappointing but it's great to get back on track with a win.

"Gower'[s on form but Dave Nash's well-placed drive from Dom Findlays cross was the best goal of the match.

"We now got the Christmas break, before returning for our home cup fixture against Brimfield."

Unbeaten Tenbury United remain top but conceded a last-minute penalty-kick in a 3-3 draw against a strong Ledbury Town Reserves at New Street.

Ian Patterson hit a brace for Tenbury and Lee Millichip also scored but player-manager Aaron Morris was disappointed with United's showing.

Morris said his brother, Ryan Morris, and Dale Withers were outstanding for United.

"We started off badly and could have been 4-0 down after 20 minutes," said Morris.

"But we got away with it and we were looking good at 3-2 up with a few minutes remaining."

In-form Newcastle picked up a point from a 1-1 draw at Sennybridge in Mid Wales League South.

Craig Morris put Newcastle ahead after Carl Price had had a goal ruled out for offside.

Sennybridge drew level early in the second period but the depleted visitors stood firm.

Newcastle defeated Llandrindod Wells Reserves 9-8 in a penalty shoot-out reach the semi-finals of the Alfred Sparey Cup.

Dewi Allan gave Newcastle the lead mid way through the first half from a corner but the visitors levelled 10 minutes from time.
