NEIL Weaver and Chris Ridge were the top home crew in Ludlow Castle Motor Club’s Peak Revs Road Rally.

The duo finished 14th overall after picking up 18 minutes and 28 seconds in penalties.

Chris Simmons and Andy Moss were 15th, just 38 seconds behind Weaver and Ridge.

Martin and Simon Ridge finished a further 39 seconds adrift in 16th, while novice duo Anthony and Kirun Deignan were 34th overall and third in class.

A fifth Ludlow crew, Andy Gill and Simon Dean, came 49th and 13th in class.

A total of 75 crews took part in the rally, which was won by Welsh Border Car Club's Mark Roberts and Knighton's Steve Price.

It was a round of the West Midlands and Welsh Border Car Club Road Rally Championships.

The event took crews on an 80-mile journey across north Herefordshire and south Shropshire before finishing at Ludlow Golf Club.

The club would like to thank the support of all sponsors, competitors, and proprietors of the start and finish venues.

Competitors praised the format of the rally which included a shortened route and a special test.
