LUDLOW have slipped to fourth place in Division Two of the West Midlands League after a 3-0 reverse at Shropshire rivals Newport Town.
And to complete a bad day for the town’s leading sides, the rugby club were hammered 38-5 at Midlands Two West (North) leaders Leek.
Clee Hill are within touching distance of leaders Harborne at the top of Midlands Four West (North) after hammering Greyhound 47-3.
And Cleobury Mortimer remain in contention, too, after beating Five Ways Old Edwardians 34-7.
Bishops Castle came out on top in the local derby with Tenbury with an 18-6 win.
