ROS Gillard took the family honours in Bishops Castle Tennis Club’s hotly-contested women’s doubles’ final.
She teamed up with Vanessa Campbell to defeat her sister Loveday Hickey and playing partner Hilary Evans to secure the title.
Loveday Hickey, who is also club chairman, said 14 women took part in an enjoyable competition.
Bishops Castle Tennis Club will be playing throughout the winter and are preparing for their annual general meeting on November 19. Simon Willis is completing his level two qualification, following in the footsteps of the other qualified club coach, Andy Murray.
“We are a very social tennis club and will be playing throughout the winter,” said Loveday. The club also boasts a men’s and growing junior section.
