STEVE Preece’s hat-trick led Clee Hill United to a 6-0 home win over Shrewsbury United in the Shropshire FA Challenge Cup first round.
Oli Smith, James Clif ford and Romanian Andrei Dulgheru also scored for United.
Alex Jones grabbed four goals for Bishops Castle Town in an 8-0 home hammering of Albrighton Juniors.
Andrew Green netted twice, while Gaz Bromley also scored along with an own goal.
Ludlow Town Colts lost 5-3 at Hopesgate United despite goals from Kieran Dovey, Josh Partridge and Toby Siveter.
There was also cup disappointment for Newcastle, who lost 4-1 at home to Dawley Town. Dave Jones scored Newcastle’s goal.
Debutant Kieran Adams and Dan Kelly netted in Church Stretton Town’s 2-0 home win over Prees in the Mercian League Premier Division.

Table-topping Ludlow Ladies recorded a 3-1 success at Wyre Forest in the Herefordshire and Worcestershire County Women’s League.
