Ludlow Amateur Boxing Club's fab five cycle from John O’Groats to Land’s End and complete a three peaks challenge
LUDLOW Amateur Boxing Club’s fab five demonstrated their pedal power to raise money for their new building.
Oli Francis, Nick Tranter, Stuart Richards, Adam Baker and Charlie Barnfield cycled from John O’Groats to Land’s End and did a three peaks challenge.
The five were supported by their driver, Rob Francis, and Wayne Barnfield as they gave up 11 days for the challenge, which will fund both new kit and equipment for the boxing club.
Meanwhile, Ludlow boxing duo Terry Dean Smith and Ashley Moule opened the new season with wins at the Pat Benson Boxing Academy in Small Heath.
Terry secured a unanimous decision over home boxer McKenzie and Moule defeated Heart of Devon’s Ollie Watts.
Ludlow duo Arnold Edmonds and Chadd Woodfield will be fighting this weekend in Birmingham and Northampton, respectively.
Ludlow are gearing up for their own dinner show at Ludlow Racecourse on Friday, October 4. For details, call Colin Woodfield on 07866 502485.
