MANAGER Dave Cooper admitted he was relieved after Ludlow kept their unbeaten record intact.
Ludlow are third in the West Midlands League Division Two table just four points behind table-topping Team Dudley.
But Cooper fumed: “It was an absolutely atrocious performance - we were dreadful.
“At half-time I went mad at the players and, at full-time, I also went mad.
“Stafford outplayed us and will feel robbed. That’s two points we have gained in two matches after awful displays.
It was very disappointing - it was one point gained rather than two lost and we could have snatched it.”
Jamie Marsh’s 47th-minute penalty, after a foul on Luke Hicks, put Ludlow 1-0 up. But Stafford levelled with 20 minutes remaining.
Ludlow travel to Wyrley Reserves this Saturday - they recorded a 5-0 win over Wyrley on the opening day.
“I backed us to win last Saturday but now I will not be taking anything for granted,” said Cooper. “When we are bad - we are very bad.”
Meanwhile, Cooper played in goal for Leominster Town in a 1-0 midweek win over Bartestree Reserves in the Herefordshire League Premier Division.
